*Visit the ORBIS aircraft
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
THFC nominated charity ORBIS is celebrating 21 years of sight saving work this year and is offering our supporters the chance to take a personal tour of their most innovative project that is making a flying visit, so to speak.
Some 36 million people throughout the world are needlessly blind - but their condition could be treated or even prevented with access to basic medical treatment.
In order to transfer sight saving skills to the areas of greatest need, ORBIS converted a DC-10 aircraft into the world's only Flying Eye Hospital, taking volunteer surgeons to train local doctors in modern techniques.
In 21 years ORBIS has flown to 80 countries and conducted 227 sight-saving programmes, training 54,000 medical professionals and restoring vision to more than 16 million people worldwide.
This incredible plane will soon be making a stopover at Stansted Airport on its return from a child eye care programme in Ethiopia. ORBIS and THFC have a limited number of tickets to tour the world's only Flying Eye Hospital.
If you and your family would like the chance to view the ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital on Sunday 30 March 2003, simply answer the following question.
How many people have had their sight restored through ORBIS?
