Stars out for reserves

Tue 16 October 2001, 12:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Colin Calderwood will field his strongest reserve side yet for our latest FA Premier Reserve League match tonight.

Goran Bunjevcevic returns a month after fracturing his cheekbone against Chelsea and looks likely to wear a face mask to protect the problem.

Anthony Gardner also returns after a hamstring tweak in a recent friendly against Peterborough United.

They are joined in the starting line-up by Kasey Keller, Alton Thelwell, Ben Thatcher, Tim Sherwood, Matthew Etherington and Sergei Rebrov and, indeed, only Ciaran Toner and Yannick Kamanan lack Premiership experience.

West Ham are the visitors to our reserve base at Stevenage Borough FC (7pm).

Boss Colin said: "We've a strong team out and we're looking forward to it.

"It always comes back to how we perform and how our boys go about the job. With the team we've got out, if they give the effort and energy, it should be a good night."

Spurs Reserves: Keller, Toner, Thelwell, Gardner, Thatcher, Bunjevcevic, Piercy, Sherwood, Etherington, Rebrov, Kamanan. Subs: Snee, Kelly, O'Donoghue, Consorti, Sutton.
