*More to come from Mido
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Mido suspects it will take a little bit of time and an increase in match fitness before he can reproduce the form he displayed on his debut on a regular basis.
The January loan recruit from Roma - who introduced himself at the Lane with a sensational two-goal show against Portsmouth - featured little for the Serie A side in the first half of the season and he feels time is needed to reach full match fitness after the long period of inactivity.
He does report, however, that he is very much enjoying his first weeks in English football and is settling into life near to Spurs Lodge.
"I think it is going well and I almost know everything about the set-up here now," considered the Egyptian striker. "I think we have a good team with a good possibility of finishing in a higher league place.
"It is always important to start well and I think I had a good debut. The first game was very good and people might be expecting me to play to the same level every game, but it is not easy.
"It is true that I played good in the first game, but it is quite difficult because I can feel that my physical fitness and condition is not the best. I didn't play a full game at Roma for three months so I think it will take me a few weeks to consistently get to the same level I showed in the first game and then continue to do so.
"When you miss a lot of games it is always hard to come back at a high level. I was lucky against Portsmouth that I could score two goals and make a good impression. I knew it would be a difficult situation for me and that is why it is good I have an 18-month contract.
"The level I showed on my debut is my real level and that is what I am able to do. I have done okay since then and I will soon be back to the level of performance I know I can produce."
Mido went on to reveal it is only the little things that have taken him by surprise off the pitch and that he has found a few local eateries to his liking.
"I live very close to the training ground and it is a very beautiful place around here. I like things quiet and I am really enjoying it.
"Everything is different, you drive on the other side and have three-pin adapters! I've got used to it and lots of little things make your life easier.
"I have found restaurants, I like Chinese food and Sushi - I eat seafood and Sushi four or five times a week. I have found nice places that I enjoy going to."
Also to his liking is the style of football played in the Premiership, a style he feels benefits attacking teams and players.
"In English football there is more space than in Italian football and it is played at a higher speed. When it is played like this it is always better for a striker - defenders don't have time to close the game.
"This is my type of game, I feel I can fit into this type of football. In Spain it is an open game too and each team has six or seven A-class players, if you watch every game in England you see the same. I am not surprised with the level I am seeing - it is a very high one."
