*Kazu's happy return

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

After a miserable spell on the sidelines, Kazuyuki Toda has had cause for celebration twice in the last week.

First was the life-changing experience of his wife giving birth to his first child, a boy named Rintarou, last week and, last night, 'Kazu' returned to action for the first time in two months in our reserve clash at Ipswich Town.

The Japanese midfielder admits he hates being away from the action and everyday life of training and playing football.

"I love playing and I love training, so it's been a difficult time for me since I got injured in South Africa," said Kazu in his improving English at Portman Road.

"But of course, having my baby was wonderful. I was moved. That made me happy."

Last night also made him happy - a successful return to action and a 56-minute stint in an exciting 3-2 win.

Kazu certainly didn't tip-toe his way back and two crunching tackles in the first five minutes signalled his return.

He added: "I think I can do more but this was my first game in two months. I worked hard and tried to be myself.

"I had to test myself with the tackles, I had no problems, I've no pain and I'm happy."
