Spurs X1 head to the Orient

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Colin Calderwood's Spurs X1 side travel to Brisbane Road tonight to take on Leyton Orient in a pre-season friendly encounter.

Following a victory over Ryman Premier League side Northwood and a 4-4 draw with Bishop's Stortford of the same division, Colin is confident that his young side can cope with the challenge of tackling a Football League outfit.

"I am looking forward to testing my side against a League team." said Colin. "And I see no reason why we shouldn't compete well and make it a very good game."

Lee Barnard and Paul O'Donoghue, who missed the Bishop's Stortford game with slight injuries, are both fit to return and take their place in the team.

Team: Nicky Eyre, Ronnie Henry, Ben Bowditch, Paul O'Donoghue, Chris Perry, Lee Barnett, Mark Hughes, Gary Doherty, Lee Barnard, Mark Yeates. Subs: Jamie Slabber, Tommy Forecast (GK), Marcel McKie, Danny Foster, Jonathan Black.
