Spurs weekend preview - Baggies, City and Charlton...

Thu 12 January 2017, 10:13|Tottenham Hotspur

The weekend's action gets underway on Friday night (January 13) as our development squad heads to Manchester City in the Premier League 2. Here's a full run-down of who's in action over the next few days...

First team
SPURS v WEST BROMWICH ALBION
Premier League
Saturday, January 14, 2017
White Hart Lane, 12.30pm

We return to Premier League action on Saturday lunchtime against a West Brom side that's proven particularly tricky to beat in recent times.

Our last three consecutive meetings with the Baggies have ended 1-1, while five of the last seven encounters between the sides have seen the spoils shared.

Tony Pulis' men, currently eighth in the table, got the better of Hull City last time out in the Premier League but crashed out of the FA Cup at the hands of Championship side Derby County last weekend.

Development squad
MANCHESTER CITY v SPURS
Premier League 2
Friday, January 13, 2017
City Academy Stadium, 7pm

Our development squad face a big test on Friday night as they travel to high-flying Manchester City in the Premier League 2.

The hosts, currently second in the table, two points behind leaders Everton, won 2-1 at home to Reading in their most recent outing in this competition and have since hammered Derby County 5-1 in cup action.

The reverse fixture at White Hart Lane earlier this season saw Ugo Ehiogu's young charges produce a gutsy display having gone a man down before eventually succumbing to a narrow 2-1 defeat.

You'll be able to follow the match from City's plush Academy Stadium with live updates on our Twitter account, @SpursOfficial.

Spurs Ladies
SPURS LADIES v CHARLTON LADIES
FA Women's Premier League South
Sunday, January 15, 2017
Cheshunt FC, 2pm

Unbeaten Spurs Ladies face another big test this weekend with a home game against rivals Charlton.

The Addicks, currently fourth in the standings and five points behind Karen Hills' side at the top having played a game more, are the only team Spurs have yet to encounter in the FA Women's Premier League this term.

As always, we'll have the latest from the Ladies side here on tottenhamhotspur.com early next week.
