Thu 25 August 2016, 13:45|Tottenham Hotspur
A run-down of which of our teams are in action this weekend and who their opponents are.
First team
SPURS v LIVERPOOL
Premier League
Saturday, August 27, 2016
White Hart Lane, 12.30pm
Our second home game of the season sees us welcome Liverpool to White Hart Lane.
The equivalent fixture last term represented Jurgen Klopp's first match in charge of the Reds, with honours even after a goalless draw.
The men from Anfield certainly found their shooting boots in midweek, though, as they thrashed Burton Albion 5-0 in the EFL Cup – a result that saw them bounce back from last weekend's 2-0 Premier League defeat at Burnley.
Development squad
DERBY COUNTY v SPURS
Premier League 2
Friday, August 26, 2016
Derby County Football Academy, 1pm
Fresh from Monday's excellent 4-1 victory at Reading, Ugo Ehiogu's charges head north to take on Derby on Friday lunchtime.
With the Rams having earned promotion from the second tier last season, the match represents something of a fresh challenge for our youngsters and Ugo will undoubtedly be looking for more positive showings from the lads as they look to make it back-to-back wins on the road.
Under-18s
SPURS v ASTON VILLA
Under-18 Premier League
Saturday, August 27, 2016
Hotspur Way, 12noon
We enjoyed some tremendous battles with Aston Villa last season and our youngsters will be hoping for another positive run-out this weekend as they look to respond following last Saturday's narrow reverse at West Ham.
Spurs Ladies
SPURS v SWINDON TOWN
FA Women’s Premier League
Sunday, August 28, 2016
Brimsdown Rovers FC, 2pm
After an unbeaten pre-season campaign, culminating in last week’s 2-0 victory over a Reading Development XI, Spurs Ladies finally kick-off their domestic campaign on Sunday.
"It's been a really positive pre-season but essentially it means nothing now and we have to produce the performance when it matters against Swindon on Sunday," said manager Karen Hills.
