Our Under-18s are quickly back in league action on Wednesday lunchtime with a re-arranged home game against West Ham United.
The clash with the Hammers has been brought forward from its initial date in early December and represents our second Barclays Under-18 Premier League match in four days following on from Saturday’s 2-1 win over Southampton.
Our previous meeting with the Hammers back in August ended all square at 3-3, with Under-18s Coach Kieran McKenna hoping for another good test at the Training Centre.
“We had a great 3-3 draw over at West Ham earlier in the season so hopefully Wednesday will be another good game,” said Kieran, who has called on his squad to carry some of the positives from the latter stages of Saturday’s Saints clash into the London derby.
“We’ve not got too many injuries at the moment and we’ve got a big pool of players to pick from, so the team will change again going into Wednesday and it’s up to those players coming in to take on the performance from the second half at the weekend.”
