Spurs vs West Brom - Mauricio's preview

Mauricio Pochettino expects to meet a West Brom side with extra resolve at the Lane today after their tough start in the Premier League.

The Baggies have two draws and two defeats from their opening four matches but Mauricio believes that record will only spur them on.

“It’s been a difficult start for West Brom, they’ve not won yet but in the Premier League we respect every opponent and expect a tough game

“West Brom will be a difficult team to beat and we will be ready.”

Mauricio said he wanted ‘to fix some things’ after last week’s fine display but ultimately disappointing 2-2 draw having led twice and dominated at Sunderland.

“I was happy with the performance but disappointed with the result at Sunderland,” he added. “We need to repeat that performance and try to win.

“It’s important how you win as well, but it’s most important to win.”
