Spurs vs WBA - Danny's determined!
25 December 2013|Tottenham Hotspur
Danny Rose insists we’re aiming for maximum points as we get set to take on West Bromwich Albion at White Hart Lane on Boxing Day.
The left-back, whose cross was turned into his own net by Southampton defender Jos Hooiveld for our second goal in Sunday’s 3-2 victory at St Mary’s, reckons everyone will be determined to impress new Head Coach Tim Sherwood as we seek to get back to winning ways on home soil.
“It’s going to be a good game for us as we’ve just got a big result against Southampton away so everyone is looking forward to it and I think it’s fair to say we’re looking to win three points,” the left-back said.
“Southampton away was a fixture a few people might not have fancied us in, but we’ve got a new manager and everyone wants to give that extra 10 per cent. Naturally when a new manager comes in everyone wants to fight for their place.”
Following the Baggies test, we’re swiftly back in action at the Lane on Sunday, with Stoke City our visitors.
“We’ve got two home games where we’re fully expecting to win three points from each,” Danny emphasised. “If we do that it puts us in a very nice position going into the New Year.”
