Ryan Mason is back in the squad for the first leg of our Capital One Cup semi-final against Sheffield United tomorrow night (Wednesday, January 21).

The midfielder has been out since damaging his hamstring early in the 5-3 win against Chelsea on New Year’s Day.

He’s missed our last four games in all competitions since having started 14 of the previous 15 matches in the Premier League.

Younes Kaboul is available after illness but Mauricio Pochettino reports that Federico Fazio (illness), Erik Lamela (calf) and Vlad Chiriches (back) remain sidelined.

“Our squad is strong and the players who play tomorrow will give their best and try to win the game,” said Mauricio after training on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Nacer Chadli will miss out following a family bereavement. “We send our condolences and hopefully we’ll see him back soon,” added Mauricio.
