Our Under-18s go into Saturday’s clash with Reading feeling refreshed after last week’s North London Derby triumph.
The players enjoyed a well-earned break having secured a 2-0 win at Arsenal and are once again ready and raring to go ahead of the Royals’ visit to the Training Centre in the Barclays Under-18 Premier League, kick-off 12pm.
“We gave the boys a couple of days off after the game last Friday because it’s been a solid effort since the start of July,” said Under-18s Coach Kieran McKenna.
“We’re now looking at starting another phase of the season. When we break it down into chunks we run from now until when we go to Florida at Christmas so we’ll be feeling refreshed and ready to kick on.
“We had a tough game at Reading last year and I expect it will be difficult again in this weekend’s home game.
“We’ve also got an Under-17 tournament taking place this weekend that some of the boys are involved in, so the side will change as it often tends to do at this level. Hopefully the players involved can put on another good performance.”
We’ll have live updates from the match on Twitter @SpursOfficial, along with a full report here on tottenhamhotspur.com afterwards.
