Brad Friedel knows we have to stay solid as we pursue a 1-0 deficit against Dnipro in the second leg of our Europa League Round of 32 tie tonight.
The goalkeeper was in fine form in the first leg in Ukraine last week and only beaten by a penalty 10 minutes from time.
Dnipro carved out a number of chances in an end-to-end encounter and Brad insists we have to be aware of that threat as we look to go forward tonight.
“We’ll be on the attack, we’re at home and we’ll go out to win the game,” said Brad.
“But we’re going to have to stay solid, because if we don’t keep our shape, they have the weapons to hurt us.
“We’ll have to keep our team shape when we’re attacking because that’s probably when we’ll be at our most vulnerable.
“They played a little like an away team in Dnipro, they sat back, looked to nick the ball in midfield and counter at pace. I would imagine it will be much of the same in the second leg.”
