Kieran McKenna is looking for our Under-18s players to shine in what he describes as “an A-grade game” against Manchester City on Saturday.
We meet City in the Barclays Under-18 Premier League for the first time since September, 2013, with a repeat of the 4-1 victory we enjoyed against them last time out a good target to aim for.
With a handful of younger Academy players involved in Friday night’s Under-21s match against Liverpool at White Hart Lane, Under-18s Coach Kieran says the rest of the group have an equally tough test on their hands at the Training Centre.
“It’s been a good week, culminating in two A-grade fixtures for the Under-21s and Under-18s this weekend,” he said.
“The boys are looking forward to whichever game they play in, with both matches representing good tests against top-class opposition.
“We had a really good game against Manchester City early last season so we’ve been waiting quite a while to play them again and whoever is involved in the game will certainly have a good opportunity to go and impress.”
Kick-off on Saturday is at 1pm. Follow us on Twitter @SpursOfficial for live updates.
