Spurs vs Brighton - Mauricio's preview

Wed 29 October 2014, 11:33|Tottenham Hotspur

Mauricio Pochettino has labelled tonight’s Capital One Cup clash with Brighton & Hove Albion as an “important game.”

We take on the Championship side at White Hart Lane on the back of a disappointing 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle United in the Premier League on Sunday.

Head Coach Mauricio says the players are determined to pick up a positive result in this evening’s fourth round tie, with a place in the quarter-finals of the competition at stake.

“We were all very disappointed after the game on Sunday, but we need to look forward and keep going,” he said.

“We have a good opportunity to go through to the next round of the Capital One Cup and I think it’s a good chance to show our philosophy and to be strong.

“All games are difficult. We played Nottingham Forest previously and now with Brighton we expect another tough game.

“It’s only one match and it’s a chance to go through to the quarter-finals, so it’s an important game.”
