Spurs vs Besiktas - Mauricio's preview

Mauricio Pochettino aims to build on the performance at Arsenal as we step back onto the European stage against Besiktas tonight.

We were organised and determined at the Emirates, snatched the lead through Nacer Chadli and defended superbly under mounting pressure - Arsenal levelling through a scrambled effort 15 minutes from time.

Now we’re looking for a positive result in our second Europa League Group C match against Besiktas, the team that pushed the Gunners all the way in the Champions League play-offs in August.

"Arsenal was a great point for our belief and to have a good performance there was good for us," said Mauricio.

“Now we expect another tough game. Besiktas are a very good team, unbeaten in Turkey and it was difficult for Arsenal to go through against them in the Champions League, they had a very good performance.

“We respect them but we beieve in our skill and potential and we want to win the three points.

“We need to try to have a good performance, to believe and try to get the three points. I think it’s a good opportunity to show our skill.”
