Spurs vs Anji - Nacer aims to please

12 December 2013|Tottenham Hotspur

Nacer Chadli is keen to put on a good performance in front of the White Hart Lane faithful tonight.

We take on Anji Makhachkala in the final game of the Europa League group stage, knowing that qualification for the Round of 32 has already been secured thanks to our 100 per cent record in the competition so far this season.

And Nacer, who scored in the previous meeting between the sides in Russia, insists the lads are keen to make it six wins out of six in Group K in our final European game on 2013.

“We always want to put on a good performance when we are at home in front of our fans, so we will be going out there to play well, enjoy ourselves and make the supporters happy too,” said the Belgian.

“Anji played a counter-attacking game in the first match, had a few chances but we were in control for most of it.

“Jermain scored the first and I got the second and after that, we were comfortable. I expect they will play in a similar style tonight.”

Read full the interview with Nacer in tonight’s matchday programme, available at various points around the stadium and from the Spurs Megastore this evening.
