Spurs v Norwich - back in time

24 December 2015|Tottenham Hotspur

Norwich City have provided a couple of Boxing Day firsts for us in the Premier League era.

The Canaries were our first Boxing Day opponents in the Premier League back in 1992 - a goalless draw at Carrow Road - and we were back in Norfolk for our first Boxing Day win in the Premier League in 1995 with Nick Barmby and Teddy Sheringham on target.

We travelled to Carrow Road again in 2004 and won 2-0 once more - thanks to Robbie Keane and an absolute thunderbolt from Michael Brown.

The midfielder specialised in long-range strikes throughout his career and this was up there with them, a 25-yard smasher for his second Premier League goal in a Spurs shirt. He went on to play 64 times for us, scoring three goals between 2003-06.
