Spurs v Dinamo Tbilisi - Andre's preview
29 August 2013|Tottenham Hotspur
Andre Villas-Boas says his team will not be complacent in the second leg of our Europa League qualifier against Dinamo Tbilisi.
The lads secured a 5-0 win in Georgia which puts the Club in a great position going into the return fixture at White Hart Lane on Thursday night.
But after his side faced a very difficult second leg against Inter Milan in Italy last season after securing a 3-0 first leg lead in the Europa League round of 16, the Head Coach knows his players are focussed on the job ahead.
"It was a good performance and a good result in Georgia. It puts us in a very strong position. Speaking to the boys today, they know that they can't be complacent and we need to finish the job," Andre told Spurs TV.
"We have one experience at a different level with Inter Milan that we don't want to repeat and so we need to be aware."
The fixture may represent a chance for some of the younger members of the squad to impress, much as Andros Townsend did in Tbilisi last week.
"We want to give a chance to a couple of them and include them in the squad. I think we can hopefully thrown them into the game if it goes our way, but the most important thing is to ensure that we are there for the group stage."
