Andy Oakes may well receive some words of consolation from Neil Sullivan prior to kick off, after the Ram conceded five goals in a Worthington Cup tie at Craven Cottage during midweek. And the Spurs number one would be able to speak from experience, as he conceded the same tally of strikes in a second-half blitz by Manchester United just a fortnight ago.

While the defeat inflicted by the champions served to decimate the Scottish international's record this season, he did keep out a further four efforts from the rampant Red Devils to prevent further pain on an already devastating afternoon for the north London club.

The current Spurs Player of the Year has made twice as many saves than his opposite number this term and has prevented the ball from crossing the line more often than any other Premiership keeper, carrying on from where he left off last season.

But despite playing every second of Tottenham's campaign so far, Sullivan has only maintained two clean sheets, against Aston Villa on the opening day and Southampton more than a month ago. Only time will tell whether this poor record is due in part to the absence of Sol Campbell and if Dean Richards can prove as reliable at protecting his shot-stopper.

In a repeat scenario of last season, Oakes was thrust into the limelight when Derby's regular keeper Mart Poom suffered injury. To his credit, the understudy kept the Fulham and West Ham frontrunners at bay with a string of five saves in his first two appearances.

Unfortunately since then he has leaked an average of 2.67 goals per game as the Rams' form has floundered dramatically. The former Hull City custodian has only managed to beat away 67% of the shots levelled at his goal, which is four percentage points below the Premiership average.

To make matters worse, history does not favour Oakes either. The Midlands outfit have never won at White Hart Lane or even managed to keep a clean sheet against the Lilywhites since the formation of the Premiership. But for the ambitious punters among you the odds on a goalless draw this weekend are 17/2 with
