Neil Sullivan v
Mark Schwarzer

Tottenham entertain Middlesbrough this weekend in a clash that is vital for both sides' ambitions. Spurs will need to recover from the disappointment of allowing bitter rivals Arsenal a last-ditch equaliser on Monday night, while Boro will be keen to build on their excellent win over Chelsea last weekend. Both 'keepers will need to be at their best to shut out their opponent's front line and secure the points.

Neil Sullivan was in sensational form for the visit of Arsenal, earning himself Opta's man of the match award as well as the admiration of his captain. Sol Campbell was full of praise for the Scottish net-minder saying, "Neil made some outstanding saves. He kept us in the game. Neil's an international player. He's a true professional so he'll keep it up."

Sullivan made nine saves in the match, to add to the 58 he has already made this term. His saves to shots ratio of 73% is one percentage point above the Premiership average, and having caught all 36 of the balls he has gone for, he is one of the Premiership's cleanest takers.

Schwarzer's last game was also impressive, as he made two saves and caught the ball four times in Middlesbrough's shut-out of Chelsea. The 6' 4" Australian has made one more save than his opposite number this Saturday, although his saves to shots ratio is not quite as impressive as Sullivan's.

It is Sullivan who may have the edge on form, as Spurs have dropped just four points at home all season, conceding just seven goals in their nine games at White Hart Lane. Boro are without an away win since the end of September, and last weekend's win over Chelsea was amazingly their first clean sheet of the campaign. However, Schwarzer has conceded only two goals in his last three games, while Sullivan has shipped in six at the back in the same number of outings.

SpursBET are offering 10/1 for another 1-0 win for the Tessiders over London opposition. It may seem a highly improbable result, but with confidence on the up in the Boro camp and ex-Spurs boss Terry Venables at the helm, it may be one of the surprises of the day. If Schwarzer can shut out the likes of Rebrov and Ferdinand, it may be the ideal chance to climb clear of the bottom three, should other results go their way.
