Spurs trio help England to Euro U21 finals
Steven Caulker, Danny Rose and Adam Smith all started as England beat Serbia to book a place in next summer's European Under-21 Championship Finals in Israel.
The Spurs trio made up three of the back four alongside West Brom's Craig Dawson and held firm as Serbia tried to turn around a 1-0 deficit from Friday's first leg in Norwich.
The Young Lions won the second leg by the same scoreline after a breakaway in the fourth minute of added time.
Serbia goalkeeper Branimir Aleksic came up for a corner, England's clearance fell to Thomas Ince on halfway and he stayed calm and squared for Connor Wickham to roll the ball into the empty net for a 1-0 win on the night, 2-0 on aggregate.
Unfortunately, Danny received a second yellow card on the final whistle and the teams left the pitch amidst ugly scenes at the Mladost Stadium in Krusevac.
Andros Townsend was an unused substitute.
England are one of eight teams in the finals including hosts Israel and six other play-off winners - Spain, Russia, Norway, Germany, Italy and Holland.
The draw for the finals will be held in November with the finals in Israel between June 5-18, 2013.
