Spurs Premier success in South Africa

Spurs' presence at the Premier League’s showcase BPL Live event was a huge hit with fans in Johannesburg.

Fans of Spurs – and the English Premier League – came along in their thousands to join in the activities at the Spurs stand, at the Barclays Premier League Live event.

More than 30,000 fans flocked to this exciting football event showcasing the English Premier League at the Zoo Lakes Sports Club in Johannesburg over the weekend of 29-30 March.

Spurs fans based in South Africa came down to say 'Hello’ to us, meet Chirpy, and have a go testing their reactions on our Batak reaction wall.

Our Spurs soccer schools coaches and freestyler took a lead in the main arena, offering skills and small-sided games sessions, which proved popular with the crowd.

There was also a free-prize draw to win signed shirts, and our Spurs goodies giveaways of footballs and flags got fans in the spirit for the Liverpool vs Spurs game which was shown live from Anfield on the big-screen.  

A big thank-you goes to our friends and colleagues at our South African partners SuperSport. The support from their coaches over the two days was invaluable, and really helped to make the event.

We look forward to the next BPL Live Events, which are being held this summer in the USA and Asia, and will release more details as soon as we have them.
