Spurs Ladies set for first of three cup finals tonight
05 April 2017|Tottenham Hotspur
Spurs Ladies are still going for gold on four fronts - and the first of three cup finals against old rivals Charlton is tonight (7.30pm, Cheshunt FC).
It has been a remarkable season for the team.
They have lost just once in all competitions - against holders Arsenal in the FA Cup - and top the FA Women's Premier League South. They have also reached three finals with the League Cup and Capital Cup to follow after tonight's Boux Avenue (Ryman) Cup Final on home soil against Charlton.
By the end of May, the teams will have played each other in six cup finals over the last three seasons!
"Charlton are a top side and there is little to choose between us, it could all come down to the small details in these finals," said manager Karen Hills, who is now nine years in charge of Spurs after a fine playing career that included an FA Cup win with Charlton.
"The players have been magnificent all season. They are driven to succeed and can't wait for this match.
"There is a real togetherness in the squad and that's been a key to what we've done so far. Every player has played her part."
Spurs are defending the trophy having won this competition and the League Cup last season.
