Spurs in SA
A round-up of Thursday's events in South Africa, including more exclusive pictures...
The lads swapped the training pitch for a trumpet on another eventful day on our tour of South Africa on Thursday.
The day started with a two-hour training session at Sturrock Park, in the grounds of Witswatersrand University in Johannesburg.
And we had special guests at the session - members of our official suporters club in South Africa and young players from the SuperSport/Tottenham Hotspur Academy.
The session started with a warm-up, jog and stretches before short, sharp sprints and quickfire possession work.
From there, it was onto team shape with Harry Redknapp talking the players through different aspects of their build-up play.
At the end of the session, the lads all went over to meet the fans and Academy players, where they signed autographs and posed for pictures.
It was another double-session for the squad so after lunch, the players worked out in the gymnasium.
There was then a treat in store as the Alexander Field Band paid a visit to the team's hotel.
The event was set up through Investec, our tour sponsors, who have been involved with the Alexander Field Band, a social investment initiative, for the past four years.
Aaron Lennon, Roman Pavlyuchenko, Heurelho Gomes, Wilson Palacios, Carlo Cudicini and Bongani Khumalo joined the band and turned their hand to a number of instruments, including drums, trumpet and steel drums.
While it has to be reported that neither Gomes or 'Pav' could get a note out the the trumpet, Carlo was the star turn on the drums - all to the tune of 'Glory, Glory Tottenham Hotspur'!
