Ledley King joined fellow Club legend David Ginola for a traditional Dim Sum Breakfast at the Loong Toh Yuen restaurant, Hullet House, on Wednesday morning.
The pair showed off their chopstick skills in sampling some classic local dishes before trying their hand at some Chinese calligraphy to show their appreciation for our Hong Kong fans.
Hullet House is located within one of the country’s oldest buildings, dating back to 1881, and is a rare example of magnificent colonial architecture.
Loong Toh Yuen is Hullet House’s prized Cantonese restaurant, embodying elements of old Hong Kong tea house culture and King George IV Chinoiserie in its inspired decor.
Ledley said: “It’s great to come to the Far East and sample some of the local culture. The people of Hong Kong have been extremely welcoming so it is important we show appreciation for their traditions.
“I do enjoy Dim Sum, and although I have never had it for breakfast before, it was fantastic. I can’t say the same about my calligraphy efforts but I am glad I gave it a try!”
