Spurs in HK - a thank you to our Far East fans!
24 July 2013|Tottenham Hotspur
The Club should like to take this opportunity to thank our fans who turned up in their thousands at the Hong Kong National Stadium for Wednesday night's Barclays Asia Trophy opener against Sunderland.
Supporters from across the Far East, and all the way from back home, easily filled our allocation of seats and could be heard above all other fans in the stadium in the hours leading up to what was a delayed kick off, and throughout our 3-1 defeat – despite torrential rain!
We were delighted to see the flags of our Official Supporters Clubs not just from Hong Kong but Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, China and Australia too, as well as the UK and even US colours on display in our ‘end’.
Our retail outlet on the stadium’s concourse was buzzing with activity throughout the evening – and fans who were lucky to be in the area around an hour before kick-off were given a very special treat.
Club Ambassador Ledley King took a walk through the fan zone, signing autographs and stopping for pictures for as many people as he could.
We hope to see you all out in force to cheer the team on again in our final game of the Asia Tour at the same venue on Saturday!
