Spurs Connect gives fans the chance to get OneUp on their mates

13 December 2013|Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur and OneUp Sports today announced the launch of Spurs Connect, a Club branded version of the live-play, sports-based mobile/social gaming platform Connect, which is part of the 'OneUp Sports Network'.

Spurs Connect is a free-to-play and interactive mobile game that fans can enjoy while watching live matches. The game is played like bingo and fantasy football, with a fun social twist where players make real-time in-game predictions to build up their 'game board'. As live events occur, fans will earn tokens in real time bringing their 'game board' to life as they look to beat their friends or their previous top scores.

Commenting on launch of this new partnership, Emma Taylor, Tottenham Hotspur Head of Marketing, said: “As a Club we are always looking for exciting and innovative initiatives that will appeal to our growing global fan-base and as such are delighted to partner with OneUp to launch Spurs Connect.

“Spurs Connect is fun and free to play and will, alongside our #THFC_Live in-game Twitter feed, further enhance the match-day experience we offer our fans from around the world.”

CEO for OneUp Sports, Daren Trousdell said of the partnership: “This agreement with Tottenham Hotspur represents OneUp Sports' first significant move into football (soccer) outside the US, where we have already partnered with the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and more. Strengthening our offering in European Football is key to our growth strategy and that includes partnering with the top teams and brands in the sport. This agreement will see us benefit from Tottenham Hotspur's global fan base as well as their range of digital marketing platforms to continue to build awareness of OneUp Sports in football and in new territories.”

To play the game fans can download the app from the Apple App Store...
