Three points were just reward for our stunning comeback against Southampton, according to Nabil Bentaleb.
The 19-year-old midfielder praised the character of the side as we came back from 2-0 down to triumph 3-2 in a thrilling clash at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
And he admitted the lads always believed they could turn things around – even after conceding for a second time within the opening half an hour.
“I think we really deserved the win,” Nabil said. “It was hard when we went 2-0 down but we showed some great character and came back against a strong side.
“The manager made it clear in the changing room at half-time the reaction he wanted and we all knew that we could turn it around. We showed that we could with the final result.”
Nabil also lauded the goals scored by Christian Eriksen and Gylfi Sigurdsson as we recovered from a two-goal deficit to win 3-2 at home for only the second time in the Premier League era.
“Christian scored some good goals at very important times, so did Gylfi, and thanks to those goals we’ve come out with three points,” he added.
