Spurs 3-0 Dinamo Tbilisi - Andre's view

Andre Villas-Boas praised the team's professional display after a convincing 3-0 win in the second leg and 8-0 final aggregate scoreline in our Europa League play-off against Dinamo Tbilisi.
Having won the first leg 5-0 in Georgia last week, the team dominated from start to finish at the Lane to book a place in the group stage of the competition. The draw is at noon (UK) on Friday.
Jermain Defoe led the way with two goals to climb up to sixth in our all-time goalscoring list on 135 – his double lifted him over legends Alan Gilzean and Len Duquemin – while Lewis Holtby cracked home a 30-yarder for his first goal.
The good news continued with Sandro starting his first game since January and completing 90 minutes while there was a first team debut for Zeki Fryers off the bench in the second half.
“After winning 5-0 away from home, you come back to our stadium and perhaps people think it’s easy to get the job done but the lads showed great professionalism and responsibility,” said Andre.
“They were not complacent in any way or form and we achieved a great result.
“There were some great moments of football, so I’m happy for everyone and looking forward to the draw.
“It was great for Sandro, Younes Kaboul, Lewis Holtby, players who we’ve missed for a long time and are picking up form.
“They have all done extremely well recently. I’m pleased with everyone’s performance, particularly the players who have recently come back from injury.”
