Spurs 2-1 Sunderland - MOTM result

Christian Eriksen ran away with our supporters’ Man of the Match vote after Saturday’s 2-1 win over Sunderland.

The Danish international playmaker capped another lively display with another late, late winner – firing in off the far post after a fine run from Andros Townsend in the 88th minute.

As a result, Christian took a whopping 71.3 per cent of the Man of the Match votes, cast on Twitter, Facebook and our online Match Centre after the game.

Jan Vertonghen, who opened the scoring in the third minute and put in a commanding performance at the back, was runner-up with 21.8 per cent.
