Bojan Krkic fired the visitors into an early lead before Jonathan Walters made it 2-0 in the 33rd minute.

Nacer Chadli pulled a goal back with a fine volley 13 minutes from time, while Kyle Naughton was shown a straight red card in the closing stages for bringing down Victor Moses as the Stoke man burst through on goal.
