Match action from Saturday's 1-1 draw against RCD Espanyol at White Hart Lane.
Roberto Soldado scored from the penalty spot on his Spurs debut to hand us the lead on 29 minutes after Danny Rose was upended.
David Lopez levelled just before half-time for the La Liga side.
It was a day of positives - Paulinho joined Roberto in making his Spurs debut, while fellow summer signing Nacer Chadli made his first appearance at the Lane.
Just as important was the return to action of Younes Kaboul - out since last August - and Sandro - out since January. Younes came on for the start of the second half while Sandro joined the action on the hour.
There was also a first senior appearance for Zeki Fryers at the Lane and Michael Dawson came through 90 minutes on his return.
