Spurs 1-0 Cardiff - Hugo's shutout satisfaction

Simple mathematics were recited by Hugo Lloris after his latest clean sheet against Cardiff City.
Our popular goalkeeper stood firm between the sticks on Sunday afternoon – with Michael Dawson outstanding in front of him – as Roberto Soldado’s first half strike gave us a 1-0 victory at White Hart Lane.
And Hugo reminded everyone afterwards how key that shutout was in view of the narrow margin of victory.
“It’s always important to keep strong at the back,” he said. “It helps us to get points on the board because when you don’t concede a goal you just need to score one and we did that today.
“It was not easy and we didn’t put on a great performance, but we got three points and that’s the main thing.”
The French international was highly complimentary of club captain Michael, who seemed to win everything in the air and even had a couple of efforts at goal at the other end during the first half.
“Daws was excellent, like all of our team-mates,” Hugo added. “He was vital in the air, mainly at the end of the game whenever Cardiff sent a long ball into the box. He was very strong.”
