Special date for Robbie

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

The season is drawing to a close, but there is a special date remaining on the fixture calender for Robbie Keane - today's trip to Molineux to face Wolves.

Robbie joined Wolves as a 16-year-old back in July 1996, turning professional a year later before going on to play 88 games for his first senior club, scoring 29 goals. He departed in 1999 for Coventry before heading for Spurs via Inter Milan and Leeds United.

Wolves is a club particularly close to the 23-year-old's heart and he has long been looking forward to a competitive return to his former stomping ground.

"Yes it is, I am really looking forward to it," said Robbie. "I have been back there once to play in my last game for Coventry, which was a friendly game, and the fans were great to me then. This will be my first league game there since leaving.

"I have special memories from being at Wolves and it will be great to see some of the old faces again."

Robbie still enjoys a good relationship with the Wolves fans, as illustrated when he netted a hat-trick against them at the beginning of December in what was a 5-2 win over Dave Jones' side.

"I scored three goals and after, as well as during, they were singing my name and gave me a standing ovation at the end. It was brilliant."

Of course, we won't be encountering Wolves in Premiership combat next season, but Robbie suspects that the recent form they have displayed could ensure a quick return following relegation.

"It is a club of great tradition and a massive one. They have a huge fanbase and it is certainly a Premiership stadium. It is fantastic club and they were unlucky this year, but hopefully next year they will return.

"They've shown signs of finding their form and Henri Camara has been playing well for the last ten games or so. If they carry this into next season, with the players they have, I'm sure they can bounce back."
