Sound Offs: Strikeforce
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Ben Potts: Steffen and Sergei, with Ted playing just behind them. This means playing a strong middle 4 and a 3 centre back system. What do you think?
Lee Short: It's gotta be Sheri and Steffen. If they can get a run together then I think they can bag some goals, plus Ferdi will be great off the bench.
Adam Benjamin: Teddy and Rebrov is definitely the best strike partnership Spurs have to offer, as was shown in last season's Worther's Cup match with Fulham, where they worked brilliantly together. Iversen may be useful to bring off the bench, in a similar vain to Solksjaer, as he tneds to get himself into the same sort of positions.
Carl Hensley: I certainly think that Rebrov should have an extended run in the team alongside Iversen. This may mean that Teddy Sheringham has a role further back the field or as a substitute.
Joel Chua: Teddy and Rebrov. Although rebrov is not having too chances on the pitch, I am sure he will hit the form he could when he was in kiev. He just needs time to adapt. And Ted because he is Ted.....Just Superb.
Nicolas Perrot: I think it it too difficult to pick a prefered attacking partnership. I believe Hoddle should use a rotation system and pick different partnerships depending on the opposition. Finally, I hope the club will not be disturbed again by false media rumours on their "quest" to buy a new striker. I am very confident Hoddle will find a quality striker for the club.
Russell Smith: It's a question of who do you play with Teddy. His vision and passing are superb. I also believe rebrov needs at least 4 or 5 full matches to regain some confidence.
David Rawlins: My preferred partnership is Teddy/Steffen. I feel they give us the best combination in the air & on the floor.Plus they are the best finishers that we have.
David Merrifield: I would like to see Glenn give the pairing of Teddy and Sergei a chance to develop. I think the way that the two play would compliment each other but they need a few games to knit without being put under pressure of having to score. Sergei has talent which we seem to have culled rather than nurtured and it is time we gave him a chance to show why we paid 11m for him in the first place. A brave manager would give the pairing a pressureless 10 starts to show what they can do!
Anthony Walker: Teddy and Les because they just seem to complement eachothers style of play.
Charlie Chan: It has to be Sheringham and Sir Les. They're not going to be around forever, so, we might as well use their tremendous experience to help our youngsters. But do bring on Rebrov- this guy has the ability to do great things for Spurs. It just needs some confidence, and playing with someone like Morientes may help him. If not, why not Crespo?
Bob Hosland: I prefer Teddy and Les, but we cannot forget Iversen, he is a good striker who could score lots of goals if he played more, but there is always something wrong which is a shame. Rebrov might as well go, give him a chance or sell him for 6-7 million. Get Robbie Keane and play Iversen, Teddy and Keane up front.
Rob Flower: With Shrringham's intelligence and vision and Iversen's pace and ability to win the ball in the air I think they make the ideal partnership. However, with our ageing strikeforce we should be trying harder to bring a young, prolific goal scorer to the club.
