Sound Offs: Greatest moments 2
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Simon Buckingham: My Favourite moment was watching Sheringham's goal go in against Chelsea on the 23rd January 2002 in the 5-1 thrashing. Another would be Gazza's free kick against Arsenal. My dad went to see that game (2 days before my brother was born).
Paul Boylin: My greatest moment was Gazza's free kick at wembley against them, pure heaven! And close to that was stomping Chelsea 5-1!
Tim Wright: I got the chance to come over from Australia on a business trip, and was lucky enough to get a ticket to the Spurs v Liverpool game in season 2000/2001. My first and only time to WHL, and a come from behind victory! I'll always treasure the day, and will get back to see the Lillywhites one day!
Gareth Hughes: I was in tears at WHL on Wedneday 23 Jan 02. Without doubt the best Spurs performance in 11 years since 3-1 at Wembley. Congratulations to all the lads who were truly fantastic and Mr Hoddle deserves a mention for what he has done this season. Well done lads I'm proud to say I'm SPURS!
Mel Papper: Without a doubt Jimmy Greaves scoring against Leicester in the mid 60's. The way he waltzed past four defenders and the goalkeeper to slot into an empty net was something I'd never seen before........or since.
Ross Peggs: Gazza's free kick, the 5-1 v Chelsea and Nielsen's goal in the Worthington Cup final a couple of years ago are all great memories. But the best, and it is slightly faded, is that of Ronny Rosenthal's electric one-man comeback against Southampton in the FA Cup about seven years ago.
Graham Smith: I was behind the goal when Ricky Villa got us the winner on that unforgettable night. Even the Man City fans were applauding. As a Spurs fan of over 30 years there is no doubt in my mind that this was the best goal that I have ever seen a Spurs player score and to be there on that night made my life complete.
Catriona Colleran: I can't look past the 5-1 trashing of Chelesa. What a match!!! After that the day God returned - HODDLE we missed you. GO ON THE MIGHTY SPURS
Michael Stones: I think the greatest Spurs moment for me is seeing Anderton recognised as a truly great central midfielder instead of the winger he used to be seen as. Therefore my greatest Spurs moment is when he pulled all the strings, scoring and claiming an assist to earn us a famous victory this season in Geordie land against Newcastle.
