Sonny relishing 'meaningful' matches

Heung-Min Son says he loves to see the big games keep on coming as we prepare to take on West Ham United tonight (Wednesday, March 2).
Our trip to Upton Park, kick-off 7.45pm, represents the second of three Premier League matches in six days for us, with the North London derby still to come on Saturday lunchtime at White Hart Lane.
South Korean international Sonny, who joined us from German side Bayer Leverkusen in the summer, admits he hasn’t experienced such a gruelling schedule too many times before but says he’s hungrier than ever to make an impact against our rivals and ensure we continue our winning momentum during this testing spell.
“The derbies against West Ham and Arsenal are obviously incredible games for us and ones we’re all looking forward to,” said the 23-year-old.
“We always play a lot of matches and so it’s very important to keep our energy levels up.
“In the Bundesliga, players have a two-week winter break and while that was good, for me it’s better that I can play even more games and show what I can do on the pitch more often.
“Our fans also have more chances to watch our games, which I think is great. All of the fans know how much these games against West Ham and Arsenal mean for us and we must prepare for them well.”
