Sol's semi struggle

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Sol Campbell insists he will move heaven and earth to lead us out in Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final against Arsenal at Old Trafford.

Big Sol missed Saturday’s Premiership derby at Highbury with an ankle injury sustained on England duty in Albania last week.

He has yet to rejoin his team-mates for full training and his fitness has been described as ‘touch and go’ for Sunday by boss Glenn Hoddle.

Our super skipper revealed: "My fitness is improving every day but we’ll have to wait and see.

"I’m going to give it as much time as possible to recover and by Friday I’ll have a better idea of what the situation is.

"It’s the back end of the season and you are not going to get much bigger games than this. It’s a huge game and I’ll give it time and see what happens. I’ll do everything in my power to be out there. I want to play.

"The fact it’s a Sunday gives it an extra day, that helps me out as well. We’ll have to wait and see. I’m staying positive and hopefully I’ll be able to give it a go."

Sol summed up just what the semi-final meant to everyone when he added: "It’s a massive game for the club. It could make or break our season.

"Everyone is going to be up for it, everyone knows what we’ve been through to get here and we don’t want to stop now. We want to go further, we know it will be hard and we’ll see what happens.

"The final and a possible place in Europe is what everyone wants and that makes it a massive game. You have to stay calm, do the right things and I’m sure we’ll all be ready for it.

"Players will come back and that will help the team. I just hope I’m out there as well. I want to be out there, it’s a great occasion and I want to be there."
