SO - team v bolt

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

There could be few complaints as Bolton ended David Pleat's unbeaten spell as caretaker manager.

He said after his first win at Coventry City that he'd almost rather be a lucky caretaker than a good one but that luck was stretched to the limit before Kevin Nolan tapped home the winner in the second half.

Bolton, with Jay-Jay Okocha inspirational, struck the crossbar on no less than four occasions, three in the second half and generally took a grip on the game from the 20-minute mark.

Yet, amazingly, we almost salvaged a point in injury time when substitute Jon Blondel's curler was flicked wide at the last second by Jussi Jaaskelainen.

But if we are being brutally honest, that would have been harsh on Bolton.

After a bright start to the first half the tide worryingly turned in the visitors' favour.

Shots flew in from all angles with Okocha, a joy to watch, the architect.

It took a fine save from Jaaskelainen to tip Keane's shot aside after 12 minutes before Okocha took over.

He had four shots in 10 minutes with the pick a half-volley from 25 yards that cannoned back off the crossbar.

Carr's burst into the box relieved the pressure on the half-hour but it was one-way traffic in this spell and Keller was at his best to keep out Per Frandsen after 33 minutes. Frandsen's first shot was blocked but he was onto the rebound quickly only for Keller, who had dived for the first effort, to get up and down again to his right post to tip the shot away.

Giannakopoulos finished the half with two efforts straight at Keller and there were concerned faces at the break.

David Pleat changed it around at half-time with Helder Postiga on for Gus Poyet and Robbie Keane dropping into a deeper midfield role.

But Bolton still had the edge for the first 15 minutes and came within inches of opening the scoring after 56 minutes. Okocha was inevitably involved, this time his free-kick clipped the back of Kevin Davies' head and struck the bar, Davies nodded the rebound straight back but Keller and Richards combined to clear.

Zamora and Konchesky had decent efforts at goal in our best spell but incredibly Bolton hit the woodwork for the third time after 70 minutes as Giannakopoulos' strike from 20 yards took the mildest of deflections and clipped the top of the crossbar.

But they wouldn't have to wait long to finally break through. Okocha was involved again, driving a half-cleared corner back at goal from 20 yards, Keller spilled and Nolan tapped home.

As we struggled to get going, Bolton hit the crossbar for a fourth time - Okocha, 20 yards, fizzer from Davies' lay-off.

We ended up with four up front - Richards joining a front three of Keane, Postiga and Zamora - and we almost saved it in injury time when Blondel shrugged off a challenge and curled towards the bottom corner from 20 yards but Jaaskelainen read it and fingertipped wide.
