Simon set for Italian test
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Simon Davies insists Wales are confident of taking something from tonight's massive clash against Italy and taking a giant step towards Euro 2004 qualification.
And our midfield ace says the game in front of a full house at the Millennium Stadium will be the biggest of his career so far.
Recently crowned Welsh Player of the Year, Simon and fellow youngsters Craig Bellamy, Robert Earnshaw, Jason Koumas and Daniel Gabbidon have helped raised hopes and there is now a real belief they can reach a first major finals since 1958.
"We're confident," said Simon, on target in his last two internationals. "We've had a good run of results and it's all been leading up to these qualifiers.
"We've got to be looking to at least get a result, especially at home. We've done well at home against Germany, Argentina, even though they were friendlies.
"We made a great start in Finland and this game is going to be massive. It will a great night, great atmsophere and a great night for Welsh football. Hopefully we won't let them down."
Simon knows it will be a tough task to crack that famous Italian defence but believes Wales have the ammunition to do so.
He added: "They've great players, very organised and it will be tough to break them down.
"But they way we're playing we'll soak up pressure and hit them on the break. With the players we've got, we can do that. It worked in Finland and hopefully it will work again."
