Simon: Biggest season yet
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Simon Davies insists next season is the most important of his time at the club.
The midfielder is set for his sixth campaign at Spurs after his switch from Peterborough United in December 1999.
A lot has happened since his debut as a substitute at Liverpool in April 2000.
Voted Spurs and Welsh Player of the Year in 2002, Simon's dynamic style and eye for goal is an integral part of both sides.
Injury wrecked his season last time around and he's determined to put things right come August.
"Time has flown," reflected Simon. "I've been here four and a half years now and next season will be the biggest.
"It's a new set up, the club has showed their ambition and I've signed a new contract so they want me to be part of that. I'm delighted with that.
"I still had three years left so for the club to come to me was great. I had no hesitation. I believe we have the nucleus of a great squad here. I train with the players every day and I see it.
"The club has made big signings. Jermain joining was massive, it wasn't long ago that every club was linked with him including United, so to get him here shows what he thinks of the place. I think things will start turning around next season.
"All I'm concentrating on is a good start to next season and getting us back to where we have to be."
