Sherwood stays positive
English Barclays Premiership
Stand-in skipper Tim Sherwood put a positive spin on our draw against Manchester City.
Saturday's goalless encounter proved another frustrating affair. Like Charlton the week before we dominated possession, created chances but came up against an inspired goalkeeper.
Where Dean Kiely produced heroics for Charlton, Nicky Weaver was at his best to deny Les Ferdinand, Oyvind Leonhardsen, Steffen Iversen and Sergei Rebrov in the Premiership stalemate the Lane.
Midfielder Sherwood, wearing the captain's armband in the absence of injured Sol Campbell, admitted: "It was a frustrating afternoon.
"We deserved to win the game and created enough chances but unfortunately the goalkeeper played well for them.
"All we can do is keep plugging away. They didn't look like scoring in the first half, had a couple of breakaways in the second but we were solid without being spectacular.
"Everyone is disappointed with the result but we're still sixth in the league. We're working hard for each other. It's not flowing but you could to 10 grounds and not see flowing football. It's all about getting results, getting points on the board and I think we're doing alright."
