Seven Sisters escalator works

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

The Seven Sisters Road 'B' exit at Seven Sisters Underground station will be closed for approx 13 months from Sunday 14 November for the refurbishment of Escalators 4 and 5.

These escalators are now nearing the end of their working lives having first entered service in 1968 moving on average some 15,000 people a day for nearly 36 years. That's the equivalent of one person going up and down the escalators almost 100 million times.

Therefore customers wishing to use the Victoria line at Seven Sisters will only be able to access the station from the 'A' entrance on the High Road. This will mean that WAGN customers interchanging to and from the Victoria line will need to walk an additional 250m to the High Road entrance (taking approx 4mins).

Customers who normally alight from the 259/279/N279 bus (Bus stop 'BE' outside the station entrance 'B' on Birstall Road), will be advised to alight at the next stop (J) on the High Road which is adjacent to the station entrance.

During Spurs home games special crowd management arrangements will be in place with the British Transport Police on hand to assist but customers for home games may wish to consider accessing the Victoria line at Tottenham Hale for WAGN services to Northumberland Park.
