Sergei's passing fancy

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Sergei Rebrov reckons Glenn Hoddle could play at the top level for another couple of seasons.

Our Ukrainian star has been impressed with his new manager in training and insists he has lost none of the quality that made him a legend at the Lane.

He also says he is looking forward to developing the passing game that Glenn’s teams are renowned for.

Sergei declared: "Glenn Hoddle was a very good player and I can see in training that he can a still give very good passes. It is my opinion that he can play for another two or three seasons.

"He is a good coach, he was with the English national team, a couple of teams in the Premiership and it is nice for me because now we play a passing game.

"That is good for me. It is my game. I think next season will be much, much better."

Sergei is currently sidelined by a hamstring problem but is desperate to return for our final match of the season against champions Manchester United at the Lane.

He explained: "I first had the problem in the Chelsea game. I felt much better afterwards, we had a free day and after that I felt much better.

"It was my mistake though, I came to training and when I trained I felt a very strong pain in my hamstring and now I’m in treatment.

"It’s not easy this problem. I need more time. If I play after two or three days it will not be good for me, it will be bad and the next time I play will be the same injury.

"I am prepared for the last game if everything is okay. I want to play against Manchester United. I want to play this game. It is important for everyone to show that we are getting better as a team."
