Sean's thanks

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Sean Davis has thanked the medical staff at Spurs Lodge for putting up with him during his frustrating spell on the sidelines.

Out since November after undergoing knee surgery, the midfielder returned to action with a 60-minute shift in a training ground friendly against Wycombe on Wednesday.

"I'm terrible when I'm out," he admitted. "I moan and there are two sides to me, either moaning or I have a laugh and a joke.

"Dean Kenneally (physio) and Alex Court (rehab coach) have been fantastic, especially Dean as he's worked so hard and I must be hard to put up with in the treatment room.

"I have a lot of appreciation to them because they've had that for almost four months.

"There have been some good days and bad days but if it wasn't for them I'd still be in there. So I'd like to mention them, both doctors Mark and Charlotte, Dean, Alex and Amanda Lee (masseur) as well."

Things have certainly changed in Sean's absence. "We've a different manager, more players but it's a massive club and I came here for that reason," he added.

"I've been going to the games and it's been hard for me to watch them when I've been injured but the crowd have been great and I can't wait to get back playing again.

"I came here to do well, had such a great start and to get injured was such a big blow for me.

"Hopefully I can look forward now, come through Monday's reserve game unscathed and then play a couple more to build up my fitness before trying to get back into the first team."
