Sean hopes to add bite
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Sean Davis hopes that his introduction to the team will help inject further bite in our midfield.
The 24-year-old has built up a reputation for not only his passing ability in the middle but also for closing down space in front of the back four and snapping into tackles when the ball is there to be won. A bit of welcome bite, perhaps?
"I hope so, I like to give my all and normally like to go in for a few challenges. Hopefully, if I work hard, I might be able to improve our midfield," he reflected, adding that the responsibility of the anchor role is one he favours.
"When Jean Tigana arrived at Fulham he threw me straight in in a midfield holding position - I got used to that and played there for three years. Last season was a bit different, I played more forward and scored a few goals.
"It is fair to say I am more of a defensive midfielder though."
The former England under-21 captain - who made his friendly debut for the club at last week's Swedish training camp - also hopes his passing game will fit in well in his new environment.
"I like to get the ball down and pass it, that was very much the focus when Tigana came to Fulham. Tottenham have the tradition of playing attractive football and I want to improve myself and help Tottenham as a team.
"I think it was time for a fresh challenge and a new start to boost my own career. I have a lot of friends at Fulham and have played for them in all four divisions so I hope I have repayed them.
"This is obviously a massive club with the fans, the stadium and a good training ground. There are top players here and it was a surprise to see where they finished last season.
"Hopefully with the new manager we can have a better season and give the fans something to cheer about."
