Scott ready for Reds after revenge
Scott Parker is ready for a Liverpool team he expects will be all out for revenge at Anfield on Monday night.
Turn the clock back to September and Scott made his home debut in a memorable 4-0 win against Kenny Dalgish's men.
Luka Modric scored one of the goals of the season, Emmanuel Adebayor marked his home debut with a double and Jermain Defoe also scored as the Reds ended with nine men at the Lane.
That was the second match of a run of two defeats in our last 21 matches as we sit third in the Premier League.
"I'm sure they will want to make amends for earlier in the season," said Scott.
"We were on fire in that game, played some great stuff and it was hard for Liverpool to live with us.
"It was my first home game and I came out of it thinking 'we've got some team here'. I knew we had a very good team but that really stood out for me."
Liverpool have enjoyed a fine last 10 days - securing a place at Wembley in the Carling Cup final at the expense of City, beating United in the FA Cup and a 4-0 win at Wolves in the Premier League.
"It's always a big game at Anfield, they've had some great results and it will be tough," added Scott.
"They have quality all over the pitch, all in good form, so we know it will be difficult.
"We'll prepare right, we'll be ready and we know what's in hand. We have to go there and deliver."
