Sandro 'fantastic' - Harry
Kyle Walker stole the headlines but Harry Redknapp was quick to praise Sandro's performance in central midfield after Sunday's 2-0 win against Blackburn.
The Brazilian international was back to his best, breaking up play and winning the ball over over the pitch, covering every blade of grass until being substituted to a standing ovation in the final minute.
His storming first half performance - later highlighted by the panel on Match Of The Day - included a driving run past five Blackburn players, a thunderous shot that cannoned off the underside of the crossbar and another goal-bound effort that was blocked by Scott Dann.
He also played a part in the opening goal, a clever reverse pass wide to Aaron Lennon, who crossed for Gareth Bale to hit the crossbar and Rafa van der Vaart buried the rebound.
Statistics later showed that he went in for 10 tackles and won nine of them.
"Sandro was fantastic," said Harry. "That first half performance was amazing - power, strength - he was top class.
"He also hit the crossbar with a absolute worldy of a shot.
"He's had injuries this season, but he was brilliant in midfield. He looked a real monster of a player. That’s good for us."
