Kieran McKenna has challenged our Under-18s to build on aspects of their opening day win against Norwich City last week when they travel to Southampton on Saturday.
A brace from Ryan Loft, coupled with goals from Anthony Georgiou and Kyle Walker-Peters, saw the lads claim a 4-2 victory against the Canaries at the Training Centre last week.
Ahead of their first domestic away game of the new season, Coach Kieran wants to see the players maintain some of the promise they showed in the first half against Norwich for longer periods.
“I’d like to think the performance will be even better again this weekend,” said Kieran. “The players have had quite a hard week’s training this week and physically they’ll be better off having had the 90 minutes last week.
“We’ll be looking to hit similar levels of performance to what we hit at times against Norwich, but we want to maintain it for a longer period during the game.
“It’s always a good game at Southampton, we’re looking forward to it and hopefully we’ll put on a good show.”
We’ll bring you updates from the game on Twitter @SpursOfficial along with a full report here on tottenhamhotspur.com afterwards.
